We are dedicated to empowering Black voters to profoundly impact political, social, and cultural landscapes. Our goal is not just to participate but to be changemakers, shaping a government we truly desire—one founded on joy, and freedom.
July - Introductory Event: "Day of Vision"
Objective: Launch the movement with a one-day event that outlines the vision and roadmap ahead, inspiring engagement and participation.
Activities: Keynote speeches from prominent Black leaders, interactive sessions to discuss goals and expectations, and networking opportunities to build community connections.
Outcome: Participants leave with a clear understanding of the goals of Black Voter Futurism and ways they can contribute.
Changemakers Training Lab/Empowerment Through Action (ETA)
Objective: Equip participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to become effective advocates for their communities.
Format: A series of workshops focusing on voter registration tactics, community organizing skills, and understanding local and national political landscapes.
Practical Actions: Post-workshop assignments to apply skills in real-world scenarios, such as organizing local voter registration drives.
Outcome: Participants ready to lead and train others in their communities.
Quarterly Panel Discussions and Workshops
Objective: Continue education on key issues affecting Black communities, with each session focusing on different themes such as economic empowerment, criminal justice reform, health equity, and education reform.
Format: Each quarter, host a panel discussion followed by a workshop to delve deeper into the issues.
Practical Actions: After each panel and workshop, participants will engage in local advocacy projects or policy proposal developments that align with the discussed themes.
Outcome: Sustained engagement and deepening understanding of complex issues, with practical advocacy steps taken to influence policy and public opinion.
Biannual Changemakers Conferences
Objective: Review progress, address challenges, and plan future actions. Expand the network by involving more community members and stakeholders.
Format: Conferences to include workshops, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities to share successes, best practices, and strategies for overcoming obstacles.
Practical Actions: Development of a comprehensive action plan for the next three years, based on the learnings and achievements of the initial plan.
Outcome: A stronger, more connected movement that is equipped to sustain and expand its impact on the political, social, and cultural landscapes.
Throughout the three years, continual efforts will be made to document progress, gather feedback, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure the movement remains responsive to the needs of the community it serves.
